Pre-K Teacher “Sparrows" & “Ferns" Classes-Dundee (8 Years at The Good Life)
Teacher Amanda is a Newberg native whose passion for early childhood education began in high school, when she worked as an assistant teacher at Great Expectations Preschool. From 2012 to 2014, she continued nurturing young learners as an Assistant Preschool Teacher locally before moving to Chicago from 2015 to 2017. Amanda returned back to the Newberg area and joined The Good Life team in 2017 and has been a ray of sunshine ever since—earning our “Little Miss Sunshine” award for her joyful energy and positive spirit!
Teacher Amanda brings laughter, creativity, and connection to her classroom every day. Whether it’s an impromptu dance party or a silly sing-along, she knows how to meet children right where they are developmentally, creating a space filled with fun and belonging.
When asked what Amanda loves most about teaching, “I love being able to experience the world through young eyes and accompany their investigations, helping them make connections guided by their curiosity. I enjoy having a front-row seat as concepts click in their minds and cherish the opportunity to guide them through this important stage of their development.”

Outside of the classroom, Amanda enjoys tending to her plants, musical theatre, reading and writing poetry, engaging in collaborative story telling, spending time by lakes, and camping whenever possible.
As the Lead Pre-K Teacher for our “Sparrows” and “Ferns” classes in Dundee, Amanda excels at preparing her students for their next big adventure—Kindergarten! She focuses not only on building strong academic foundations, but also on nurturing the social and emotional confidence each child needs to thrive.
