Teacher Jennie (Pre-K “Rainbows” Class & Lead Preschool “Trees” Class)-Newberg (8 Years Teaching with The Good Life)
AA Early Childhood
You may recognize Teacher Jennie from around our local community! She has spent many years sharing her passion for movement and learning through teaching gymnastics, camps, and Zumba classes with our local Parks & Recreation district. Jennie has a contagious energy that children absolutely love—she’s creative, artistic, and resourceful, able to turn any recycled project into a learning adventure! In the classroom, she brings the next level of discovery through hands-on STEM experiments, early literacy development, and kindergarten readiness activities. We were thrilled to have Jennie join The Good Life Preschool teaching team in 2017!
Jennie is an Oregon native who lives in Newberg and grew up right here in the Dundee Red Hills, just down the street from our main preschool location. She’s also the mom of three sons! Her connection to The Good Life began when her nephew attended our very first preschool class, where she instantly fell in love with the Good Life experience. Over the years, Jennie has also taught specialty classes at The Good Life, including dance, gymnastics, STEAM, and soccer camps.
Jennie holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and is currently completing her Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in the Winter of 2025. Her creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication to children’s growth make her an invaluable part of our Good Life family.
When asked about her Teaching philosophy, Teacher Jennie shares, “Children are naturally curious and I like to foster that curiosity! By encouraging and cultivating that desire to explore and learn, a teacher can capitalize on letting the children's interests drive the lesson. Combining that with learning through play and active engagement will help the kiddos to be excited about learning. This is the foundation of creating life long learners, who are excited to seek out knowledge and continue to grow.”
What she loves about teaching at The Good Life……”I love that there is such a focus on Growth Mindset and building a foundation in social emotional literacy. Children get a chance to work through bigger problems, and develop the tools to help them in life.”
Outside of teaching for The Good Life and our local Park & Rec Classes, Teacher Jennie enjoys staying active through work out classes, dance classes-including line dancing and Zumba, stand up paddleboarding, watching comedies and trying out fun STEM challenges with her youngest son.
We love having Teacher Jennie as part of our Good Life Teaching Team. Her consistent energy, creativity, and resourcefulness are just a few of the many attributes she brings to our team!
